Two Artists, One Passion

Jesse Jocson and Sir Roby Caraveo are worlds apart. Jesse in Japan and Sir Roby in Finland. But thanks to GrandeScope Productions based in Germany for bringing them closer, expressing the same emotion about a love that was lost. Affection expressed in Matt Monro’s blockbuster 60’s ballad The Music Played.

Jesse spoke in Spanish and said Alguien Canto; and Sir Roby said Wakare No Asa, a Nihonggi interpretation.

However they are situated in opposite sides of the world, there is one thing common in them: both are from the Philippines!

Jesse is the main attraction in Manna Piano Bar in Koriyama City.; while Sir Roby is premier vocalist of The Advisors. But honestly, I sure wish I have biographical information of both artists so I can share them with you. Or, if you have any information or photo of Jesse and Sir Roby and want to share them with the readers, please send them via email.

Watch and enjoy both music videos, set in scenic stills of selected Japan dioramas.

GrandeScope Productions president Rollie Grande, himself from the Philippines, as well, is a contract director of CBS Networks on special assignments. He is director, writer and advertising practitioner who is a resident of Germany for over 20 years now. He is also best remembered for being the ratings record holder in primetime television with his Super Laff-Ins that introduced countless talents into the Philippine entertainment scene in the 70s.

The Music Played Lyrics
AN ANGRY SILENCE LAY, WHERE LOVE HAD BEEN
AND IN YOUR EYES A LOOK, I'VE NEVER SEEN
IF I HAD FOUND THE WORDS, YOU MIGHT HAVE STAYED
BUT AS I TURN TO SPEAK, THE MUSIC PLAYED.

AS LOVERS DANCED THEIR WAY, AROUND THE FLOOR
I SAT AND WATCHED YOU WALK, TOWARDS THE DOOR
I HEARD A FRIEND OF YOURS, SUGGEST YOU STAY
AND AS YOU TOOK HIS HAND, THE MUSIC PLAYED.

ACROSS THE DARKENED ROOM, THE FAINTEST SIGN I SAW
HE'D BEEN SOMETHING MORE THAN FRIENDS BEFORE
WHILE I WAS HURTING YOU, BY CLINGING TO MY PRIDE
HE HAD BEEN WAITING, AND I DROVE HIM, TO YOUR SIDE.

I COULDN'T SAY THE THINGS, I SHOULD HAVE SAID
REFUSED TO LET MY HEART, CONTROL MY HEAD
BUT I WAS MADE TO SEE THE PRICE I PAID
AND AS HE HELD YOU CLOSE, THE MUSIC PLAYED.

AND AS I LOST YOUR LOVE, THE MUSIC PLAYED
